Close to Shrewsbury and set in the foothills of the Shropshire Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this fishery enjoys two spring-fed pools, a specimen pool and a fun pool.

FISHING:
The site includes a natural water-body (Lane Pool) and a man-made pool (Millennium Pool). Both are spring fed, providing fantastic water quality and a beautiful natural environment, this might be the most attractive carp fishery in Shropshire! These pools can be booked via the on-line booking tab.

Lane Pool:
Stocked with hard fighting, specimen carp up to 24lb. Sport and Leisure Fisheries are one of the most reputable suppliers in the country, with a bio-secure policy that prevents the spread of diseases and a strain of carp that is renowned for fast growth rates hatched on-site from known and proven brood stock using only the best, prettiest and fastest growing parents (click link to read more).
This pool is also home to specimen tench and grass carp.

The site attracts an abundance of wildlife, which unfortunately includes otters. One of our challenges will be to erect suitable protection to deter otters from eating valuable stock. In the meantime, we have electric fencing in place as an interim solution.

We await with excited anticipation the first capture of a 30lb+ fish!

Millennium Pool:
Although this pool is smaller in size (roughly 3/4 acre), the fantastic water quality and abundance of natural food supports a healthy stock density of smaller specimen sized fish, providing great sport. This suits a wide range of anglers, from novices and juniors to professionals looking for a great place to sit and unwind, perfecting techniques before moving on to more difficult, big fish waters.

Millennium pool has been recently stocked with plenty of mirror, common and grass carp to double figures. The original grass carp have now grown in excess of 20lb.
