We have planning permission for the construction of 3, low impact, earth bermed cabins (hobbit houses) that will be built into the hillside. Made from natural materials, locally sourced, these cabins will demonstrate how we can use alternative materials to reduce our carbon footprint.

At some point we may need to reach out to volunteers to help with the earth-bag and cord-wood construction. If you would be interested in volunteering, please contact us using the contact form below.

An article on the planning application from the Shropshire Star can be read by clicking this link.

There are a number of ways in which you can support us in this exciting project without it costing you a penny!

We have a long arduous task ahead of us and appreciate any support you can provide. Progress will be extremely slow to start with as we traverse the planning process, release funds to begin the project and generally prepare for this exciting journey.

By showing support it helps to contribute to what we're trying to achieve and spread the message to others that are looking to make a transition from unfulfilling, high carbon footprint to a more satisfying, sustainable way of living.

Share, follow & contribute

One of the easiest ways to support is simply sharing the content on social media. Our goal is to share the journey in the hope that it will inspire people looking to embark on their own journey. After all we were inspired by others sharing similar messages, inspirational people such as Kris Harbour, Life Uncontained, Odd Job Life, The Outsider and Pure Living for Life, all of which can be found on YouTube with enjoyable, educational content.

You will find social media icons on every post that you can click to share our content on social media channel's. Great places to share this content is on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Email, or just chatting with friends over a coffee.

Links to our social media channels can be found on the header bar or below and we will be updating these channels as new content is released.

Whilst the aim is for the business to be sustainable long-term and to reduce our own consumption through self-reliance, the development costs will be huge, and this blog - whilst fun - is also time consuming and requires equipment to create what I hope will be interesting, educational content.

To earn a little income to support this project we will be listing equipment that we use and recommend in the resources section of this web-site. Many of these recommendations will be associated to affiliate links, from which we earn a small commission AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU!

We will only list equipment that we have purchased ourselves, use and would recommend wholeheartedly.

We are not sponsored by any of the firms associated with these products, this is just our opinion of items that we purchased and use regularly.

Patreon is a great way to support.

For a small monthly fee you can help us to continue making content. Donations come out automatically each month, and you can cancel at any time!

As the project grows, we will add another tier of membership, providing perks to our patrons.
